Counterflow Dryers

  • At least 20% more energy efficient than modern belt dryers, up to 50% more efficient than old belt dryers
  • Gravity flow -> no cross contamination, minimum cleaning, fast cleaning
  • Gravity flow, so very few moving parts -> minimum maintenance, long life time
  • Controlled air volume, air temperature, drying time, change-over time
  • Excellent moisture uniformity and moisture control over time
  • Stainless steel product- and air contact parts -> long life time
  • Worldwide service agreements for maintenance, check-ups, operator training, 24/7 remote service
  • Wide range of dimensions, options, finishing standards, air systems etc. -> hundreds of customised configurations

Counterflow Coolers

  • Counterflow principle -> no temperature shock, small footprint
  • Gravity flow -> no cross contamination, minimum cleaning, fast cleaning
  • Gravity flow, so few moving parts > minimum maintenance, long life time
  • Controlled air volume, cooling time, evaporation, change-over time
  • Stainless steel hood and bin walls. Stainless steel for dischargers and hoppers is optional
  • Wide range of dimensions, options, finishing standards, air systems etc. -> hundreds of customised configurations

Food

Counterflow technology is suitable for drying and cooling of any granular food product that requires the highest standards of sanitation. Drying and cooling of breakfast cereals, snack foods, coffee beans, cacao, chocolate, bread crumbs, couscous, fruits, vegetables and nuts can be achieved with lowest need for cleaning and fastest cleaning times. Energy savings of 20-70% are achievable when replacing belt dryers, fluid bed dryers or tumbling dryers. The gravity flow principle leads to much lower maintenance costs and almost uninterrupted up-time.

Feed

We invented the first counterflow cooler in 1980 for the cooling of feed pellets.
Since then we have built up decades of experience drying and/or cooling animal feed pellets, extrudate, expandate, crumbles, meal, mash, flakes etc.

Every machine is customized to the exact requirements of the customer, with respect to location, ambient circumstances, production process, sanitation standards and budget.

Our systems provide full control over air volume, air quality, process time, relative humidity, temperature and moisture.
Even in our coolers we can provide control over evaporation rates without affecting cooling.

Petfood

As preferred supplier of dryers and coolers to the world’s leading petfood producers, we can make a significant contribution to improving your sanitation standards, product quality and Total Cost of Ownership. With counterflow technology you can save at least 20% energy compared to any alternative in the industry and much more when replacing an old dryer. High moisture uniformity leads to maximum output while minimizing energy costs. Lower time and cost for maintenance also contribute significantly to lowering your Total Cost of Ownership.

Aquafeed

When moisture uniformity is of vital importance for the sinking behaviour of extruded aquafeed pellets, multi-deck counterflow dryers can satisfy the highest requirements while minimizing operational costs and maximizing up-time. Energy savings of at least 20% can be achieved when compared to the best belt dryers.

For pelleted aquafeeds our postconditioners provide up to 1,5 hours of post-pelletmill conditioning at 80-90C, leading to high water stability at low operational costs.
